The 53rd Obukan Dojo Shiai and Kata Tournament is scheduled to be held at Warner Pacific College, 2219 SE 68th Ave (CC Perry Gymnasium) Portland, OR 97215 (69th and Division) on April 25, 2009.

Joseph Jones, 12, of Eugene, recently won his age and weight group (53 kilograms) competition at the USA Judo National Junior Olympics, Fla. Jones, who has been training for six years at Hwang’s Martial Arts Academy, compiled a 7-0 record in his division.
